Judy was born in Springfield, MA and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago. As a child she loved to draw, and remembers being
thrilled by all the colors in the 64 pack of Crayola crayons. Her mother, an artist herself, always encouraged Judy by giving her materials and suggesting she take classes. She earned a B.A. in Fine Art at Valparaiso University in 1973. Art became a
secondary activity as she and her husband established a family and raised two daughters in Bloomington, IN, where they still reside. During that period she kept her hand in with drawing, printmaking and textile printing classes, and doing pen
illustrations for the Baha'i children's magazine, "Brilliant Star". She earned a Masters in Library Science at Indiana University in 1990, and worked in several library settings until Fall of 2001. Since 1996, Judy has had eight exhibitions of her
work, either individually or in group shows. She won Third Place in the 1998 Bloomington Post Card Contest. Her works are in a number of private collections and in the City Hall of Country Club Hills, IL.
